How would I describe myself? I’m logical, reliable, genuine, a listener, organiser and infectiously enthusiastic. Maybe it’s the ex art student in me but I think I’ve got a good combination of creativity and logic that gives me an edge over other accountants.
Certainly twenty plus years in this industry, in various other accountancy firms have given me a lot. They’ve also acted as a catalyst. I figured out that a fresh start with a brand new accountancy firm was needed. A break away from inflexible ways of working; a positive culture with better interaction with clients. It’s why I started Beverston. And knowing that my clients rely on me is what kicks me out of bed every morning.
On a lighter note: My favourite film is The Jerk with Steve Martin – makes me laugh every time!
There’s this feeling. It’s hard to describe but it’s that sense of achievement when you know that all the pieces of the puzzle fit perfectly together. It’s what makes doing what you do everyday not an everyday job.
Our clients are emotionally attached to their business, it’s their livelihood, it’s what feeds their family. With my own family life I understand that only too well. It’s why we think its important to give time to the client, listen and come up with solid solutions. If that sounds cheesy, just pass me the crackers.
On a lighter note: My favourite movie is The Fast & the Furious. Fast cars, lots of action, great soundtrack and Vin Diesel amongst others – need I say more!
Too often clients of accountancy firms don’t feel valued. In our line of business, building positive relationships matters. That’s why we established Beverston.
